Originally developed as a rental townhome and garden apartment community, Parkside at Alexandria was acquired by Urban Atlantic in 2004. Urban converted the community into condominiums through a development that featured upgrades to kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and HVAC systems. Parkside at Alexandria was a prime candidate for conversion due to its location, affordability for first time homebuyers, and majority townhome configuration. It became home to many "hometown heroes" including local police, firefighters, teachers and nurses.
